Liverpool Symposium with international scholars

On November 21st, DiNoBord will organize a Symposium on Borders in Crisis together with the Centre for Organisational and Employee Wellbeing at the University of Liverpool. The Symposium will be chaired by Prof. Elena Raviola and Prof. Damian O’ Doherty and will see the intervention of esteemed international scholars: Prof. Louise Amoore, Prof. Mikkel Flyberbom, Prof. Daniel Neyland and Prof. Alf Rehn.

In our monthly reading seminars in DiNoBord we have been reading the work of several of these scholars and we have been very inspired by their scholarship. So, it is a great pleasure for us to co-organize this event and further discuss our work with them. The symposium will discuss the intersection between securitization, borders and wellbeing, bringing critical and interdisciplinary perspectives.

The symposium will also be a preparation for a sub-plenary session that DiNoBord will co-organize with Prof. Damian O’Doherty at EGOS2025 in Athens, the European Organization for Organization Studies.
